DESCRIPTION:Participants will learn a structured literacy approach to teaching reading\, aligned to the Knowledge and Practice Standards (KPS; Cowen\, 2016). (Note: The approved IDA course is 5 days of instruction. The 3 day version of the training is considered Part 1.) \nAttendees who complete the training will have the knowledge and skills to complete the KPEERI exam and apply for the Structured Literacy Classroom Teacher Certification through the Center for Effective Reading Instruction (CERI). She has aided numerous readers in realizing their potential using the Orton-Gillingham and Structured Literacy methods and continues to support burgeoning readers.
