DESCRIPTION:In this workshop\, we will unpack the meaning of multisensory instruction\, the auditory-visual-kinesthetic connection\, and why this form of instruction is an essential component of structured literacy. Participants will actively learn how to use a variety of manipulatives and tools to support multisensory instruction that can be used with any curriculum. Additionally\, participants will create a small-group lesson plan emphasizing the multisensory components of instruction. She is also working to become an Orton-Gillingham Fellow.
