Meghan brings 10+ years of experience to the classroom and prior to this role\, was a homeroom teacher at Chartwell for the last two years. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Haverford College in Haverford\, PA and a dual Masters in Elementary Education and Special Education from Lesley University in Cambridge\, MA. Meghan served as the director of academic support and as academic dean at Lake Tahoe Preparatory School. Meghan has taught students of all ages\, ranging from PreK-4 to high school\, and has also supported new educators as a graduate assistant with Johns Hopkins University School of Education. Meghan lives in Truckee\, CA\, with her wife\, Kayla\, and dog\, Reagan.

She holds a master’s degree as a Reading Specialist from Columbia University Teachers College. She taught as a learning specialist in New York City and then as an ELA and Reading Specialist in a Westchester public middle school. Jodi is a certified Orton-Gillingham classroom educator and has trained in multiple structured literacy programs. Currently\, Jodi is the coordinator for Chartwell’s UCSF Dyslexia Center Phenotyping partnership and supports the Multitudes Early Reading Screener team. She is the co-director of Chartwell’s Teacher Training Institute\, accredited by the International Dyslexia Association. She partners with school districts to provide workshops on the science of reading and to train teachers to develop their literacy programs and practices.
