SUMMARY:Structured Literacy Clinic
DESCRIPTION:The Structured Literacy Clinic is a practicum style course for educators who have completed the Introduction to Structured Literacy course and are looking to deepen their knowledge and practice of structured literacy. Participants will gain a deeper knowledge of structured literacy practices\, multisensory techniques\, advanced phonics concepts\, and have an opportunity to plan for and implement structured literacy lessons within a small group setting. Participants in the Structured Literacy Clinic will be provided with individualized support and feedback throughout this process. In addition to overseeing executive functioning at Chartwell\, being an instructional coach\, and providing individualized OT services to small groups of students (1st-12th grade)\, she provides instructional workshops to teachers and families that focus on sensory processing\, classroom accommodations\, executive functioning\, social emotional learning\, driver readiness\, and fine and visual motor skills.

DESCRIPTION:This comprehensive three-part professional development series equips educators with the neuroscientific insights and practical tools necessary to support students with dyslexia and specific learning disabilities (SLD) in reading.  \n\nUnderstand the “why” behind reading struggles to better implement the “how.”\nLearn to interpret neuropsychological reports and navigate IEPs with confidence.\nEngage in specific modules dedicated to multilingual learners and co-occurring conditions\, such as ADHD.\nCreate actionable plans based on real-world student profiles.\n\nPart 1: Educators will dive into the neuroscience of reading to understand dyslexia and SLD in reading\, guided by frameworks such as the IDA and the California Dyslexia Guidelines.
