Demystifying Dyslexia

October 13 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Free

October is Dyslexia Awareness Month. This sneak peek into the dyslexic brain will provide participants with essential knowledge related to current definitions of dyslexia, the neuroscience of reading, how dyslexia and SLD in reading are diagnosed, and age-specific characteristics. Participants will have the opportunity to discover the nuances and complexities of dyslexia through discussion protocols and a jigsaw activity. This virtual workshop is designed with classroom teachers and parents in mind. The better we all understand dyslexia, the better we can support our students from a strengths-based perspective.
