Teacher Bio
Jodi Amaditz is the Director of Teaching and Learning at Chartwell School. She holds a master’s degree as a Reading Specialist from Columbia University Teachers College. She taught as a learning specialist in New York City and then as an ELA and Reading Specialist in a Westchester public middle school. Jodi is a certified Orton-Gillingham classroom educator and has trained in multiple structured literacy programs. Currently, Jodi is the coordinator for Chartwell’s UCSF Dyslexia Center Phenotyping partnership and supports the Multitudes Early Reading Screener team. She is the co-director of Chartwell’s Teacher Training Institute, accredited by the International Dyslexia Association. She partners with school districts to provide workshops on the science of reading and to train teachers to develop their literacy programs and practices.
