This two-day workshop builds upon the foundational knowledge of Structured Literacy introduced in the 3-day Introduction to Structured Literacy course. Designed specifically for educators working with kindergarten through second-grade students, this class delves deeper into the techniques and strategies for teaching reading foundational skills (Phonemic Awareness, Phonics, and Fluency) using a structured literacy lesson plan and is aligned with the Knowledge and Practice Standards (KPS; Cowen, 2016).

Through hands-on practice, educators will gain confidence in creating engaging, research-based lessons tailored to the needs of early elementary learners. By the end of the workshop, participants will have the tools and experience to deliver high-quality instruction that supports all students in developing strong foundational reading skills.
