Our training and coaching are curriculum-agnostic. We don’t teach a specific box; we teach the “why” and “how” of structured literacy. The best part? California’s 2025–26 State Budget includes nearly $500 million specifically for evidence-based reading instruction, including:
- $200 million to train certificated and classified staff who provide literacy instruction, or who support any teacher who provides literacy instruction, to pupils in grades TK‒5, using PD programs that meet the criteria and guidance approved pursuant to EC Section 33319.6. - CTI training not only meets the criteria and guidelines, we also have a proven track record of improving reading outcomes in districts in our state.
- Funds will be apportioned to LEAs in an equal amount per full-time equivalent certificated staff who teach pupils in grades TK‒5. (https://www.cde.ca.gov/ci/pl/literacypd.asp)
- These funds will be available starting in July 2026, so you can start planning with CTI now!
